Starting our journey at 3:30 AM, we set off under the stars with excitement and determination to reach one of Himachal Pradesh’s most sacred and scenic destinations. The peaceful trails, cool mountain air, and mesmerizing sunrise over the Himalayas made this trek an experience we’ll never forget. Located in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, Kamrunag sits at an altitude of approximately 3,334 metres (10,938 feet) above sea level. The trek leads to the revered Kamrunag Lake and Temple, dedicated to Dev Kamrunag, who is worshipped as the deity of rain and is believed to have connections with the Mahabharata. For generations, devotees have offered gold, silver, coins, and currency into the sacred lake as a symbol of faith and gratitude.
